Meet the Thousand Oaks Team Behind Mason Remodeling Co Thousand Oaks
We’ve been remodeling kitchens, baths, and whole homes in Thousand Oaks since 2004, and the crew you’ll meet on your project is the reason homeowners keep calling us back. No rotating cast of unknown subs. The people who show up at your door are the same people who measure, build, and finish the work. That continuity matters when someone is working inside your home for weeks at a time. Below, you’ll meet the core Thousand Oaks team, and we’ve included the details that matter most: who’s coming, what they do, and how you’ll recognize them at the door.

Our People

Isaac Pruett, Owner
Isaac has run Mason Remodeling Co Thousand Oaks since 2004, and he still walks every job site before the first wall comes down. He came up through the trades as a finish carpenter, which means he knows what square actually looks like and he’s not afraid to point out when something was framed wrong before it becomes someone else’s problem. His favorite part of the job is the handoff, when a homeowner walks through the finished room and realizes the space finally works the way they hoped it would. Outside work, he spends most weekends rebuilding a 1969 Chevy C10 that’s been “about six months from done” for roughly four years.
Marcus D., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Mason Remodeling for eleven years and runs most of the larger bathroom and kitchen projects in Thousand Oaks. He’s certified in Schluter Systems waterproofing installation, the membrane system that keeps shower pans and wet areas from leaking into the subfloor over time. If you’ve ever seen a shower that failed because someone skipped a step, you’ll appreciate that Marcus follows the manufacturer’s spec to the letter. He lives in Newbury Park and claims he can tell you the best breakfast burrito within a ten-minute drive of any job site in Ventura County.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena specializes in tile, stone, and finish work, and she’s the person we put on projects where the details have to be right the first time. She’s worked with Schluter trim, the metal edging that seals the transition where tile meets flooring, long enough that she can cut and set it without a second thought. Elena joined the crew seven years ago after running her own tile business in the San Fernando Valley, and she still treats every installation like her name is on it, because it is. She keeps a small sketchbook in her tool bag and will sometimes draw a layout option for homeowners on the spot before anything gets set in mortar.
Sam T., Service Coordinator
Sam is the voice on the phone when you call, and the person who makes sure your written price arrives before any work starts. He’s been coordinating projects in Thousand Oaks for six years and knows the local permit process well enough to flag issues before they delay a job. Sam is the one who sends you the name and photo of your technician before a visit, so you know exactly who’s walking up to your door. When he’s not keeping schedules on track, he’s coaching his daughter’s youth soccer team at Conejo Creek Park.
Diego M., Apprentice
Diego is the newest member of the crew, two years into his apprenticeship and already trusted with layout and rough framing under Marcus’s supervision. He’s working toward his general contractor’s license and spends his evenings studying for the California state exam. Diego grew up in Thousand Oaks and graduated from Thousand Oaks High School, so he knows the neighborhoods and the way older homes in the Conejo Valley tend to be built. You’ll usually see him carrying lumber, setting up dust barriers, and asking the older crew members the kind of questions that make them stop and think before answering.
One Standard, Every Job
Every crew member follows the same set of rules, whether the job is a small bathroom update or a whole-home remodel. We call it the Threshold Standard, and it’s not a suggestion. Every technician is background-checked and identity-verified before they ever set foot on a property. They arrive in a clean marked uniform with a photo ID badge, and you’ll receive their name and photo before the visit so there’s no mystery about who’s at your door. It’s a simple system, but it changes the whole dynamic of having someone working in your home. You’re not letting in a stranger. You’re letting in someone you already know by name and face, and that’s how it should be.
We also put the price in writing before any work begins. That’s not a promotion or a favor. It’s the way we’ve operated since 2004, and it means the number you approve is the number you pay. Every project comes with a written guarantee, including the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the work isn’t right within a year of completion, we make it right at no cost. Plain terms, stated up front, no fine-print games. That’s the standard Isaac set when the company started, and it’s the standard the Thousand Oaks crew upholds on every single job.
If you’re planning a remodel in Thousand Oaks and want to know exactly who will be working in your home and what it will cost, call (805) 309-3386. We’ll talk through the project honestly, send you names and photos before anyone arrives, and give you a written price before anything gets started.
